Update: It’s back up! I don’t know how long it took it, I wasn’t monitoring. But check it out.
If you thought some plant life or animals are rare, try getting to the website called The Encyclopedia of Life. If you try and get to it recently (http://www.eol.org/) you might find yourself a little frustrated. Since it’s public rollout last Tuesday, it’s been up and down. According to reports, there have been millions of hits and the server can’t handle the load.
Why the big deal about the site? It’s a site that will store the names and descriptions of all the species of life. That’s cool. Scientists have been and will continue to be the first to start the documents. Then after a while it will be opened up to the public.
Check back often, you get a glimpse of the rare site.
